Biography
Chul Moon is an Associate Professor of Statistics and Data Science at 青涩直播. He holds a PhD in Statistics from The University of Georgia.
His research spans two main areas: statistical shape analysis using topology and geometry, and empirical likelihood methods. He develops statistical and machine learning approaches for topological and geometric data analysis with applications in medical imaging, forensics, and geology, and has also advanced empirical likelihood techniques for Bayesian variable selection, ranked set sampling, and system lifetime analysis. His work has been enriched through collaborations with researchers in geology, oncology, and mathematics. He has secured a highly competitive research grant from the National Institutes of Health and received a Career Development Award from the Korean International Statistical Society.
